Ricardo Ávalo is an artist whose practice explores the human condition through the materiality of contemporary painting. Working with concrete, metal, wood, tar, pigments, and other industrial materials, he constructs layered surfaces in which matter becomes both landscape and memory. His work examines the traces of time, human experience, and the ways we inhabit an increasingly technological world, creating a dialogue between materiality, culture, nature, and technology.
